Roktodan

What is Roktodan?

Roktodan is a platform to connect blood donors to those in need, intended for Bangladesh. I decided on this idea after my family and I struggled to find blood transfusion for a relative during a dengue epidemic. This app aims to stand out from other solutions in the following ways:

• Accessible: we aim to address this by having a easy-to-use modern UI and being cross-platform. We also aim to consolidate all key medical information and contacts in one place
• Improved privacy: unlike an existing android blood donation app, we will not provide accurate donor location as that can be easily misused. Also unlike it, we will have an option for in-app chat for people who do not want to want to share their phone number
• Social and gamified aspect: we plan to have local leaderboards where we acknowledge and celebrate people who donated consistently
